Tornado Warning!!!

Last night was interesting by myself with the two girls! One of the perks at living in fLORIDA is the weather! My mother in law called me last night and said there was a tornado warning. Both kids were asleep so I put a blanket on the bottom of our shower (luckily is big) and we camped out there for about an hour or so until it passed. It was really bad! It sounded scary, even more so because Jonny wasn't there. I have definitely been labeled as Independent and able, since my husband has been gone! Not too much that I can't do alone with the girls, pros and cons to that one! :)

MITT ROMNEY for President!!!!

Today Preslie, Dalis and I went to Mitt Romney's ralley in The Village's! I was the only one who brought small children, which was very surprising. It was a lot of fun! We watched Lee Greenwood preform, my favorite "I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN, WHERE AT LEAST I KNOW I'M FREE, AND I WON'T FORGET THE MEN WHO DIED WHO GAVE THAT RIGHT TO ME, AND I GLADLY STAND UP!" I could rehearse the whole song for you! So the line was so long for dogs and burgers and we decided to go inside and get icecream, we were getting rained out anyway! After that we ran into the new Mr. & Mrs. Muffett! Josh helped hold Preslie as she fell asleep, and Mitt came on and addressed us @ 5:30! I was so amazed I made it there by myself with the girls for that long! Then I ran in to John Shields and his family, and we went out to eat at Jonny Rockets!

I shook Mitt's hand and he looked at Dalis and said, "Well who's this little lady?" "I'm Dalis", I said! I was so excited and giddy, I'm sure I looked retarded! Anyway, I must say that Mr. Brother Romney is very handsome. Even more so in person, they have a beautiful family, and his son Josh is too!
Good Luck Mitt, we're rooting for you!

Preslie's Expression!

My friend Melissa with Melissa Hays Photography took these pictures. Can you see why I gave in to her wanting a kitty? She is the sweetest little girl I know!

To give absolute credit where it is due on Preslie's birthday - her Memaw made her birthday cake! She does every year and does an awesome job, I think she likes the challenge! She matched the kitty colors to the real kitty! Also, a friend of a friend Carson, helped us adopt Olivia from the Humane Society. She is a cat lover and was more than willing to help us in adopting her to cover the fees. What a blessing she is to us to help Preslie with her birthday wish. Thanks Carson!

Open House

Here is the open house that I had with Tastefully Simply, Home & Garden and Thirty One. They are all awesome products that you should check out next month at my open house @ my house! Mark your calendars October 18th 6-9. It will be a blast and there will be so much to choose from for holiday gifts. Also Julie will have some neat things there, and Mary anne may as well!

Movie Night @ the Ward!

Cindi and Julie are over the activities, and they are a super blast! She had popcorn, dogs and drinks! Double feature like theatre style of The Work and the Glory. The kids had a blast and played in one of the rooms as school teacher and pupils! I really enjoyed it, the only thing missing was Jonny! :)

LABOR DAY!!!

We went to St. Augustine for Labor Day! It was fun, we went with the Larsen's and the Hay's. The weather appeared to be great when we got there, then it started raining and winding (yes winding) and the sand started to stick to us! We made way for the cars and when we had it all packed up it was beautiful again! So we went back down for some more! Jonny found this crab for the kids to play with? as he ran off after dropping it near them to catch some passes with the guys! Thanks hon! It really was fun, and the LARSEN's are soooooooooooooo good to us! :) Kudos for the Larsen's! They really are, their kids are some much fun and always help me and my girlfriends out with our younger kids! My girls have crushes on their boys, but I keep telling Nick they'll get over it! We love them and are so glad to know them and appreciate all of their help. They are the BEST! Love you Jules!

These are the bows that I made Preslie for her birthday! My friend Cindi of course taught me how to make them. Also, her is the box that I made her, my friend Julie taught me how to make this. So much fun, Preslie loves home made presents and she especially loved reading her cards, or having me read them to her, over and over and over!

PRESLIE'S 4TH B-DAY!

Okay, so we had a pretty big crowd! It was a little out of control for cake and icecream, but we wanted everyone to see her face when Jonny came marching home again (hoorah, hoorah), and when she opened her kitty! She first named her kitty Shelby, then she wanted to name it Oliver, then she decided because she is a girl to name her Olivia. She loves her and rocks her like a baby, and says, "Mom, isn't she just beautiful?, She is the best cat I know, she isn't even naughty!" She said, "Thank you very much for my kitty, I love her." Just watching how much joy it has brought to her and Dalis, it is worth it. Anyone who knows me, knows I am not crazy about animals (at least caring for them) , but I have adjusted just fine!

MY PHOTOGRAPHER

Preslie took this picture and she does a great job. Maybe she will be a photographer.......... she's always got her eye on a great picture!! :)

DADDY'S HOME!

Jonny ended up getting home and hour before the party started which was another surprise! So he rang the doorbell and Preslie ran to answer it and could see him through the window! She said Daddy Daddy Daddy! This was their first expressions, I couldn't power wash Preslies grin off! Dalis didn't know quite what to do, she kept looking at him, and she wouldn't leave his side all night! She was smiling at him later at night sitting in his lap, rubbing his face fondly, and all of a sudden bam, trys to pull out some facial hair! That is Dalis on the down low! Always expect something from that child when you least expect it!

Dalis the QUICK one!!!

HHHMmmmmmmmmmmmmm. All that sums it up with this child. I asked Memaw to watch the kids so I could go to a meeting . When I got home Sandee was flustered right as I walked in the door and said, "Dalis has made the biggest mess! I answered the phone for a few seconds and oh my gosh, I don't know what to do!" So I walk in the bathroom and she has made little red mittens out of her hands with bright red lipstick (that Grammy gave Preslie! :) Thanks Grammy) and completely rubbed it all over! It actually wasn't too bad to clean, thank goodness it wasn't on the carpet!
